Rain Barrels
West Basin is hosting six drive-through rain barrel pick-up events on various Saturdays between November 16, 2024 – January 25, 2025 at locations throughout the service area. The District will give away a total of 1,500 barrels this fall to help our residents save water and money. Potential program participants must live in the service area and register to receive up to two free 50-gallon rain barrels valued at approximately $80 each. See eligibility information below.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must reside within West Basin’s service area to participate (check your address location online)
- Must not have received two rain barrels from prior events (two rain barrels are the maximum per address)
- Must provide photos of your installed rain barrel(s) within 30 days of receiving them (submit photos to https://arcg.is/Kqrz)
Benefits of a Rain Barrel
- Rain barrels reduce stormwater runoff by collecting and reusing rainwater
- Reusing rainwater helps save water and money
- A rainwater capture feature, such as a rain barrel, is also a requirement for West Basin’s Grass Replacement Rebate Program, which starts at $3 per square foot of grass removed
